New World with Dance Kaleidoscope
A Christel DeHaan Legacy Concert
Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra’s treasured collaborative celebration with Dance Kaleidoscope returns to the Schrott stage for three performances showcasing DK Associate Artistic Director, Stuart Lewis’s, “A Leaf’s Devotion to the Sun,” set to Dvořák’s ground-breaking “New World Symphony.” Dvořák drew inspiration for “New World” from the music of Indigenous peoples and African-American spirituals. This beautifully moving concert will also feature work by Christel DeHaan Artistic Director, Joshua Blake Carter. The revival of David Hochoy’s 2008 choreography set to Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun” will captivate you.
