Free Student/Child Tickets

Any child under the age of 18 or student with valid ID from any school including colleges and universities, is eligible for a free ticket to most ICO concerts. To reserve a free ticket for a child, their parent or guardian must call the ICO office at 317-940-9607, email ICO office at info@icomusic.org, or get in person at the Butler Arts & Events Center Box Office in Clowes Hall. ICO recognizes that all children are students, but not all students are children; Best discretion will be used when determining if someone is eligible for a free student/child ticket. If a student is visibly over the age of 15, the student must present a valid ID to the BAEC box office upon arrival that confirms they are a student. Free student/child tickets are available over the phone through ICO, via email through ICO or BAEC, or at the door (unless a performance is sold out). Free student/child tickets are not available online. ICO reserves the right to hold remaining seats of an almost sold-out performance for paying customers. Student/Child tickets are available in Orchestra or Balcony sections only. The only way to guarantee student/child seats will be next to adults purchasing tickets, is if the student/child ticket(s) is requested at the time of the adult ticket purchase. Student/Child tickets are not available through Ticketmaster online. Exchanges of Ticketmaster tickets to get a free student/child ticket next to the ticket after the fact will not be allowed. 

This policy applies to the following performances at Schrott Center for the Arts and Indiana Landmarks Center.

• October 17, 2026: Shakespeare & Love with Adam Golka (Piano) – Schrott Center
• November 21, 2026: Pulse with Melissa White (Violin) – Schrott Center
• December 12, 2026: A Classical Christmas: Handel’s Messiah in Full – Indiana Landmarks Center
• December 13, 2026: Messiah Sing-Along + Christmas Carols – Indiana Landmarks Center
• January 16, 2027: Nature & Soul – Schubert and Mahler – Schrott Center
• March 13, 2027: Spectrum – Beethoven, Anna Clyne, and James Lee III – Schrott Center
• April 17, 2027: Steamboat Bill Jr (1928) Silent Film with Live Score – Schrott Center *Limited free student/child tickets available first, come first served.

*May 7, 2027: Ben Folds Live with the ICO – is not eligible for our free student/child ticket initiative. All tickets for this performance must be purchased through the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts box office.
