Sadie Cohen is a true “triple threat” having performed in over 20 shows
throughout Indiana since the age of 7 with local and regional theatres such
as Indiana Repertory Theatre, Actors Theatre of Indiana, Beef and Boards
Dinner Theatre, Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre, Footlite Musicals, and Ball
University Department of Theatre and Dance. Favorite roles include Small
Alison (FUN HOME), Ursula (THE LITTLE MERMAID, JR.), Kathy Seldon
(SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN, JR.), and Veruca Salt (WILLY WONKA). Sadie has
studied with Broadway Artists Alliance in NYC where she had the
opportunity to perform in a cabaret at the famed Don’t Tell Mama.
Sadie studies voice with Jennie Kistner and John Vessels and ballet, tap, jazz,
and hip-hop with Kasey Walker. She enjoys playing piano, guitar, and
ukulele, and spending time with friends and her four pets. A 9 th grader at
Carmel High School, Sadie is a member of the Freshman Girls Choir
Expressions and theatre department. She is the 2020 recipient of the Encore
Association’s Best Performer Under 18 Award as well as the 2020 Mitty
Award (ASOTA) for Best Newcomer, both for her performance as Small
Alison in FUN HOME. Sadie has been honored to sing the National Anthem
at many local venues and is represented locally by Talent Fusion.
In addition to her many accomplishments on the stage, Sadie is actively
involved in youth activities and leadership roles at her synagogue,
Congregation Beth-El Zedeck. She is passionate about community service
and created Sadie Smiles For Seniors as her community service initiative to
foster joy and advocate for the senior community by providing the much-
needed companionship that seniors need in order to thrive and maintain a
high quality of life. Sadie is proud to be the 2024 Miss Capital City Teen and
looks forward to representing the region at Miss Indiana Teen in June.
