Matching Gifts

Double or triple the impact of your donation by requesting a corporate match for your gift from your employer. Inquire with your employer’s HR department to see if you are eligible.

Donor Advised Funds (DAFS)

A donor-advised fund is a popular charitable vehicle that can be established with a community foundation, certain financial services providers, or other charitable organizations. It’s easy to create and cost-effectively manage with few administrative burdens. Annual distributions are not required, and funds can be invested for long-term objectives. The donor receives an income tax deduction in the year of contribution to the fund. Additionally, grants can be made anonymously or publicly, depending upon the donor’s wishes. Learn more about DAFs HERE.

IRA Rollovers

Contact your financial advisor to learn more about making an IRA gift to the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. IRA rollovers can offer an excellent financial benefit for those aged 70½ or older. Those 70½ or older may have RMDs or Required Minimum Distributions that you can make as a gift to the ICO. Learn more about RMDs HERE.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $108,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA instead of taking their required minimum distributions. Learn more HERE and contact your financial advisor to see how you can make a gift to the ICO through QCDs.

Honorary Gifts

Consider making a donation in honor/celebration or in memory of a family member or friend. A gift to support ICO is a unique way to recognize someone through the gift of music. Honorary gifts are listed with the donor’s name and dedication beside it.

Planned Gifts & Maestro Society

You make contributions throughout your life through volunteerism, philanthropy, and leadership. A planned gift is an incredible way to endure future support for the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra beyond your lifetime. Leave a lasting legacy by including the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra as a beneficiary in your will or estate plan. Contact your financial advisor, speak with your family, and then speak with the ICO if you choose at 317-940-9607. Donors who let us know they will make a planned gift become members of our Maestro Society and remain members in perpetuity.
