Free Student/Child Tickets

Any child under the age of 18 or student with valid ID from any school including colleges and universities, is eligible for a free ticket to most ICO concerts. To reserve a free ticket for a child, their parent or guardian must call the ICO office at 317-940-9607, email ICO office at info@icomusic.org, or get in person at the Butler Arts & Events Center Box Office in Clowes Hall. ICO recognizes that all children are students, but not all students are children; Best discretion will be used when determining if someone is eligible for a free student/child ticket. If a student is visibly over the age of 15, the student must present a valid ID to the BAEC box office upon arrival that confirms they are a student. Free student/child tickets are available over the phone through ICO, via email through ICO or BAEC, or at the door (unless a performance is sold out). Free student/child tickets are not available online. ICO reserves the right to hold remaining seats of an almost sold-out performance for paying customers. Student/Child tickets are available in Orchestra or Balcony sections only. The only way to guarantee student/child seats will be next to adults purchasing tickets, is if the student/child ticket(s) is requested at the time of the adult ticket purchase. Student/Child tickets are not available through Ticketmaster online. Exchanges of Ticketmaster tickets to get a free student/child ticket next to the ticket after the fact will not be allowed. 

This policy applies to the following performances at Schrott Center for the Arts and Indiana Landmarks Center.

• October 18, 2025: Ben-Hur (1925) Silent Film w/Live Score *Limited free student/child tickets available first, come first served.
• November 22, 2025: Sharon Isbin (Guitar): Miami in Motion
• December 13, 2025: A Classical Christmas: Echoes of the Nativity (at Indiana Landmarks Center)
• December 14, 2025: Messiah Sing-Along + Christmas Carols (at Indiana Landmarks Center)
• January 31, 2026: At the Shore of the Sea Feat. Tim Fain (Violin)
• March 21, 2026: Gardens of Spain Feat. Gabriela Martinez (Piano)
• April 17-19, 2026: American Sound with Dance Kaleidoscope *Limited free student/child tickets available first, come first served.

*May 16, 2026 The Chevalier: A Musical Play at Madam Walker Legacy Center is not eligible for our free student/child ticket initiative. All tickets for this performance must be purchased through Ticketmaster.
