Gardens of Spain
Gabriela Martinez, Piano

Join the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra for a vibrant evening of music—featuring the world premiere of CHROMA by acclaimed composer Stacy Garrop, commissioned through the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation and the League of American Orchestras. (CHROMA lives up to its name—exploring a dazzling spectrum of musical hues in a piece that is both inventive and deeply resonant.)

The program opens with Copland’s lively Three Latin American Sketches and continues with Falla’s evocative Nights in the Gardens of Spain in its rare 1926 chamber version, featuring pianist Gabriela Martinez. The evening concludes with Gottschalk’s Symphony No. 2 (Montevideo), a spirited fusion of classical and Latin rhythms.

Enjoy a colorful celebration of cultural connection, bold new voices, and timeless musical landscapes.
