August 6 – Join Matthew Kraemer as he discusses Tabloid Concertos by Franz Waxman and Miklos Rozsa. American Pianists Awards winner Sean Chen will be the featured soloist.
July 27 – Video images from World War II and Eleanor Roosevelt’s simple words pleading for peace are the focus of this week’s Mocktails and Masterpieces. Matthew Kraemer visits with Videographer Mike Halerz to discuss James Aikman’s Peacemakers. We also feature mezzo soprano Kathryn Krasovec.
July 16 – Join Matthew Kraemer as he visits with clarinetist Eli Eban on Thursday’s Mocktails and Masterworks event. Eban, with a distinguished career as an orchestral musician, solo artist and education, serves as Principal Clarinet for the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. We will also hear excerpts from this 2018 performance of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto with the ICO on the program.
July 2 Maestro Matthew Kraemer and the ICO’s Acting Principal Flutist Alistair Howlett share stories and music on this week’s Mocktails and Masterworks. You’ll hear lively conversation and Lowell Liebermann‘s “Soliloquy” for solo Flute. We’ve even pulled a special video from the archives!
June 25 Co-hosts Matthew Kraemer and David Murray discuss new music and the collaborative process involved in creating a multi-media production like James Aikman’s “Peacemakers.” This is a great opportunity to hear more about what goes into such a project from both a performer and conductor perspective!
