Sunday, May 17 Performance Cancelled

Dear ICO Friends and Patrons,

In following the national directive and considering the rising number of cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Indianapolis, the ICO board and staff reviewed prudent options for our final season performance. In doing so, we have decided to cancel the May 17 Fidelio concert. Many factors led to this decision, and we were concerned that even if the isolation ban is lifted on May 1, audiences may be reluctant to attend concerts. We believe it is better to cancel now, giving everyone ample notice. Please note, this concert will not be rescheduled.


The following options are available for Fidelio ticket holders:

  • Call the office at 317-940-9607 to exchange your ticket for a voucher to use during the 2020-2021 season.
  • Donate your ticket(s) and receive a tax deduction for the total ticket value.

As you’ll recall, this announcement comes on the heels of our March 18 communication regarding the rescheduling of the April concert to the 2020-2021 season.
We are hopeful we’ll finish our season with the Frankenstein movie with live orchestra, rescheduled to Saturday, June 6 at 7:30 PM, on our home stage at the Schrott Center for the Arts, followed by our FREE parks concerts on June 10 and 11.

The ICO continues to monitor all updates regarding COVID-19. Our focus is to remain informed of local impact and make sure our patrons can enjoy performances without worry.
